Jail Ministry in St. John’s County
Men’s Jail Ministry Captain: Jim Wilson
How can you serve?: Lead or assist a bible study as well as help inmates grow in their faith.
When?: Men meet every 1st Sunday of the month to host a services from 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM and every Thursday 7:30 PM – 8:20 PM. Services are now through December 2022.
Where?: St. John’s County Jail, 3955 Lewis Speedway, St. Augustine, FL 32084
VA Nursing Home in St Augustine
VA Nursing Ministry Captains: Barb and Jim Wilson
How can you serve?: Lead or assist a Sunday Service as well as help our veterans grow in faith. Volunteers are encouraged to fellowship with the veterans during the week with advance notice.
When?: Every other Sunday of the month to host 1 service at 2:00pm – 3:00pm.
Who?: Adults. Teenagers are also encouraged to come with their parents or guardians.
Where?: Clyde E. Lassen Veterans Nursing Home, 4650 FL-16, St. Augustine, FL 32092
Starling Assisted Living
Ministry Captain: Hampton Lloyd
How can you serve?: Join the weekly Bible Study or the monthly Craft Day to help encourage our friends in the Starling community.
When?: Weekly Bible Study from 9am – 9:45am; Montly Arts and Crafts at 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Where?: Starling at Nocatee, 999 Crosswater Pkwy, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081
Dining With Dignity
Ministry Captain: Janet and Kern Hunter
How can you serve?: Come help us prepare and/or serve dinner to the homeless
When?: Every 2nd Monday of the Month, 5:45PM – 7PM, rain or shine (we serve under the bank awning if raining). We also donate/serve food and clothing during special holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
Where?: 68 Granada St, St. Augustine, FL 32084 (corner of Bridge & Granada Sts, free parking on parking lot on the northwest side as you approach Bridge Street)
Hospitality Team – Meal Train
Ministry Captain: Ann Medley
How can you serve?: Help us prepare or send meals to church members that are in need of support during difficult times (sickness, grief, etc). When a need is sent to the Ministry Lead, an email with a link to sign up will be sent to the ministry members/volunteers with the specifics of the request including names, address, dates and any diet restrictions.
When?: As the need arise
Where?: As specified by each specific request.
Helping Hands
Ministry Captain: Audie Dennis
How can you serve?: Helping those who need assistance with projects too big for them to handle: yard work, handyman jobs, painting, etc.
When?: When the need arises
Where?: Ponte Vedra and surrounding areas
